On the court
Floorball Coach
Pace, decisions, teamwork. As a floorball coach, I help teams recognise their strengths and bring them out together when it matters most.
Floorball and Agile Coaching
I’m Loris – a coach on the court and at work. I create spaces where people take ownership, grow together and become effective as a team.
Coaching
That’s where my coaching comes in – on the court and at work.
On the court
Pace, decisions, teamwork. As a floorball coach, I help teams recognise their strengths and bring them out together when it matters most.
At work
Clarity, ownership, change. As an agile coach, I support people and organisations in shaping collaboration deliberately and making a lasting impact.
Good coaching doesn’t provide all the answers. It asks the right questions.
Coach Loris
About me
I’m Loris – floorball coach and agile coach from Basel, Switzerland.
I was 16 when I first stood behind the bench, and that early enthusiasm has stayed with me. At 18 I started my J+S coach training, and I’ve kept learning ever since. I’ve coached teams from the youngest players up to U21, sometimes as head coach, sometimes as assistant, sometimes as co-lead. At Unihockey Basel Regio I helped build up the kids’ programme, and today I’m assistant coach of the women’s U21A team. There, coaching means reacting fast and still with sensitivity: after a defeat, when a player loses touch, when a team has to find itself again.
At work, I’m an agile coach. I help self-organising teams grow in ownership and self-efficacy, facilitate retrospectives and address tensions early. I know Scrum, SAFe and Liberating Structures, but what matters more to me than any framework is what a team needs right now. I also coach individuals one-to-one, for example in a new role or before a decision.
My second passion is emergency medicine. I’m a first responder in northwestern Switzerland, I built up and led a company first-aid service, and today I lead a care team that supports people after distressing events. Emergencies teach you to stay calm and to listen first. I need both in every coaching conversation.
Training and qualifications
Coaching philosophy
For me, psychological safety isn’t a goal but the foundation: only when people feel safe do they dare to be honest, make mistakes, share ideas – and grow.
My motto
I’m direct when it comes to the issue.
And warm when it comes to the person.
Anything can be addressed when it’s done with appreciation.
What I hold myself to
Admitting mistakes starts with me. What’s confidential stays confidential. Silence is a signal, not agreement.
I listen to the end before I judge, and I ask before I interpret.
Performance varies because life varies. I coach the person, not a template.
I don’t always manage it. But I look closely and learn from it.
